Our Goal is to Help Somali's Vulnerable Communities

Better hope Community Development TVET Centre

One of our flagship initiatives is the Better Hope Community Development Technical and Vocational Education and Training Centre (BHCDO TVET Centre). This centre is specifically designed to equip displacement-affected communities, especially youth and women, with the skills and knowledge they need to improve their lives. Through tailored vocational training programs, we aim to enhance their employability, promote entrepreneurship, and ultimately contribute to the economic development of their communities.

By providing quality education and lifelong learning opportunities, fostering gender equality through the empowerment of women, and promoting decent work and economic growth, the BHCDO TVET Centre is making significant contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Our programs also help to reduce inequalities by ensuring that marginalized groups have access to the same opportunities for growth and development, thereby building resilient and inclusive communities.

Our Programs

Skills Training

Our Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Centre provides tailored vocational training programs to equip displacement-affected communities, especially youth and women, with the skills and knowledge they need to improve their employability and promote entrepreneurship.

Livelihood Support

We assist vulnerable communities in developing sustainable income-generating activities, offering resources and training to ensure long-term financial stability and self-reliance

Blue Economy

Our Blue Economy initiative focuses on the sustainable use of ocean resources to foster economic development while ensuring the health of marine ecosystems for future generations.

Protection

We advocate for the rights and protection of vulnerable groups, including women, children, and displaced persons. Our programs ensure they have access to necessary resources, support, and services to safeguard their well-being.

WASH

We implement WASH programs to improve access to clean water, promote sanitary practices, and prevent waterborne diseases, ensuring healthier and safer living conditions.

Climate Change

Our climate change initiatives focus on building resilience and adaptive capacity within communities, helping them mitigate and cope with the impacts of environmental changes.

Education

We enhance education services to improve the overall well-being and future prospects of Somali children and youth, particularly those in underserved areas, by providing access to quality learning opportunities.
